Everything happens in the moment, deals are made and lost, markets shift, information and recommendations change. You only have to watch the stock market to see how fortunes are made and lost in the moment by moment plays.
Business collaboration however, seems to be viewed as a different animal. First we schedule, then we meet, then we retreat to consider, then we meet to discuss further, then we retreat to rework and tweak, then we meet again…hopefully this time to agree on a final decision (its exhausting just thinking about it!).

They’re now realizing that all this social stuff is no longer the playground of the bored employee, they are real tools…useful tools. Sheesh, who wudda thunk it eh?
Buuuttt….yep there’s always a but! With this comes the necessity of having a clear social media policy in your workplace. It doesn’t have to be complex, just a simple set of guidelines covering your expectations, whats acceptable & whats not. You must protect your brand and reputation, and this process ensures that everyone knows the ground rules going in.
