Saint Valentine Your Brand Sucks

Saint Valentine I have issues with your Brand,
Its time I feel to make a stand.

In all these years you’ve never changed,
your marketing message is quite deranged.

Love is not measured by the gifts you bring,
rather the promise that is attached to the ring.

I’m not against chocolates and flowers perse,
but to signify love… I say No Way!

Love deserves more than one gig per year,
so tell your Cherub to get his ass into gear.

Without all of those materialistic intentions,
I think we could begin a new convention.

Commercialisation is all very grand,
but Santa & the Rabbit have that one in hand.

Saint Valentine I trust my message is clear,
one day is not enough for those you hold dear.

I hope you heed this sound advice,
or I know in time you’ll pay the price.

People want more than what you ascribe,
and never will fall for this near sighted bribe.

So there you have it, that’s where I stand,
That’s why I won’t buy into your Brand.
