911 Universe…sorry your call cannot be connected

Setting a vision, a goal, a dream, is not just about putting it “out there” and expecting it to fall from the sky, all nicely packaged and tied up in a bow.

The “secret”, law of attraction, universal law, what ever you want to call it, will not manifest the bounties you desire without some contribution from you…
quid pro quo people….quid pro quo.

Now, before you run off to grab your first born to offer up to the universal gods, lets take a moment. Besides do you really think that the universe wants any more kids….puhleeze!

Success, or achieving your goal, will come from the combination of both your ability to visualize, and the steps you take to move towards it.

Its like a reward system. Say you want to become a published author, you set the vision, but then you have to make the effort to write everyday too.  You build your skills, you find outlets to get exposure to your work, you pay your dues…..Gold star from the universe for you, and the more gold stars you stack up the closer you get to success.

Sound simple….well it is, never underestimate the power of “Just Do It”…it sure make Nike a lot of money.

Now providing you can promise me you will do something everyday to move one step closer to your dream, I’ll give you the inside track on making your vision strong….so do we have a deal?…excellent!

When setting your vision, you need to make it as realistic, visual, & emotive as possible for you..remember its not a one size fits all, we are all unique.

Some people really have a problem with seeing things inside their mind, if this is you, don’t stress, build your picture externally use a pin up board, cut pictures from magazines, doctor some photos to get yourself into the scenes you’re building, create a screen saver on your computer that you can look at everyday, use music, or some sort of soundtrack if that helps to make the stimulus more intense for you, the more emotion or feeling you can build into your picture the better, it makes it more real, more concrete, more achievable.

This isn’t an ice cream you’re ordering (well I would hope not) It’s like, wishing for “more” money, that could mean $1 or it could a mean a million. The universe knows currency, understands specifics….”more” doesn’t mean diddly squat.

It’s your dream, nobody elses’, make it as big as you want it to be. You really can have everything that you want in life….are you gonna get it all in one foul swoop? probably not, but then again who knows. If you censor you dreams to fit someone elses’ acceptance then you are the one who is loosing.

Are you looking at your dream as something outside of yourself…in other words are you putting yourself in the picture? If you are looking at something as being in the future, that’s where its going to stay.

Going back to our previous author example, your current self talk might be something like “I am going to be a published author” what you want to do is shift that to “I am a published author”

Okay , I’m getting jeers from the peanut gallery….Yeah Yeah I know… you’re not a published author BUT if you just give me a little leeway here and start thinking of yourself in that way, you will, as the good Dr Phil says….behave your way to success. You are now growing into the role of the published author….not the forever wannabe…get it.

I know its going to be a hard pill for some of you to swallow..but hey give it try what do you have to loose?

Oh and one last thing, be careful to state what you do want, not what you don’t. Just imagine the universe only speaks pigeon english. It recognises the key elements, not the whole statement. You say “I don’t want to be sick”universal translation….umm blah blah blah sick.  BINGO, sick it is!… Get what I mean? Choose your words wisely my friends.

There you have it. Application and consistency will get you there, follow the ground rules, develop your picture to suit your own tastes and drives and remember to move toward that goal and you will definitely get what you want….how could you not?
