12 Days Of Christmas The Best of 2012

As we’re in the final countdown to Christmas, I thought we’d take a look back over the best posts from each month of 2012 here on Respectfully Disobedient.

So grab a cuppa, take a load off and enjoy.

January

We took a look at website design.  There’s a bucket load of information and opinion on what works and what doesn’t out there on the interwebz, so I thought I’d throw my hat into the ring and talk about what makes a good website.  This post is part one in a series that that you might like to explore further.

February

Now business is about the relationships you build with your customers and making the sale, so this one’s a fun little quiz that asks…How do you rate on the Customer Love test.

March

If I presented you with three envelopes of cash $10,000 $1000 or $100, you know which one you’d choose right?  Well this post is going to get you looking at whether Gratification is killing your business.

April

This was a bumper month with a lot going on, and with so much going on its easy to let things slide and make excuses.  Which can lead us to be pretty hard on ourselves.  In those moments its best to remember that You don’t suck but your excuses do.

May

Blogging, some days you’re just in with the flow, and others well the blank screen is only matched by the blank expression on your face.  If you feel like Blogging is sucking the life out of you, you may be following too many ‘rules’ imposed by others.

June

Making the sale comes down to one thing.  Providing the outcome the customer wants.  At the end of the day It’s the experience we crave.

July

How do you feel about comments on your blog, do they inspire you to do better, or could they be influencing the content you put out.  Are you a comment junkie.

August

Well I’m going to cheat a little here.  You see I took the whole month of August of, so I’m pinching a post from earlier in the year which I got a lot of personal email contact on.  It certainly resonated with a lot of people. Do you feel like a failure when you give in?

September

Fear.  It affects us all in different ways, and there are many variations.  How do you handle Fear, Love and the fifty shades of grey in between.

October

Traffic, Traffic, Traffic.  Really, is that the only answer?  I doubt it and I want to challenge you to look at some other options.  Ask yourself…Do you really need more traffic.

November

Hey if its not traffic that everyone is telling you, you need.  Then its content right?  Well take a look at What Goldilocks can teach you about content.

December

I suppose this one’s a little tricky as we’re only half way through the month, so you can either count my last post about Courage, Discipline and Fun, or I’ll throw in one from earlier in the year, which you might find interesting on JV’s and lessons learned.

So there you have it, my favorites from 2012.  I hope you enjoy them and share them with your friends.

See you next week for the final post of the year…..
